The end of summer is a good time to think about the different kinds of experiences we have when the weather is warm. Even if you live somewhere that is always warm, summer is a different season.
Thinking about your summer, what can you count?
How many books did you read on lazy summer afternoons or sitting at a table in the cool, cool library?
How many relatives did you visit? Or did they visit you?
Did you take a trip? How many miles did you travel?
Charlie doesn't read, and he didn't go on a trip but he did make one new friend and that counts for a lot!
How many dogs in this picture?                                                      One dog. Charlie's friend, Schubert!
